SAI & Homeroom Update
The Special Education Department would like to remind you that SAI, Homeroom, and all support services will continue through November 21, 2024. Please ensure your student is attending these important sessions. Thank you for your support!
Thanksgiving Break - Ordering Updates
Amazon PunchOut will be turned off on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11 p.m. for the Thanksgiving break. Approved orders will continue to be processed during the Thanksgiving break. Amazon PunchOut will be turned on for new orders Monday, December 2, 2024, when teachers return.
Job Corps with Jonathan Quijas!

Digitial ID Cards
Parents, the school sent out digital ID cards to all students on 8/21 and 8/22. These digital ID cards make check-in at events efficient. We will send them again after winter break, but thought it may be helpful for you to know when they were sent the first time in case you wanted to find it and save it.
Lending Library
tâs Election Day on Tues, Nov.5th! This is a great time to discuss the democratic process with your students. We have great resources covering government, elections, and voting for students of all ages. Plus our very own library election! Students cast their ballots for their favorite of two familiar choices (Apples or bananas? Dogs or cats?). Visit the Lending Library and make your voices heard!
ELECTION RESULTS Week #3: In a close race, last weekâs winner was PLAY OUTSIDE, which squeaked out a victory over PLAY INSIDE, with our library voters.

Spelling Bee Sign Ups
Hey Buzzing Bees! Hold onto your honey! It's that time againâregistration for the 2024-2025 Spelling Bee is officially OPEN!
Monarch River Academy (MRA) December 5th
Students in grades 4th - 6th will spell from 9:00 am-9:45 am
MRA students in grades 7th - 8th will spell from 9:45 am-10:30 am
Yosemite Valley Charter (YVC) December 5th
Students in grades 4th - 6th will spell from 10:30 am- 11:15 am
Yosemite Valley Charter students 7th - 8th spell from 11:15 am-12:00 pm
Only the top two move on to the county bees and the dates are below.
*The annual Fresno County Spell Off will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Clovis Veterans Memorial District.
*Tulare County Spell off will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025. More details to follow.
Please check your calendars before signing up, to make sure your child can attend the County Bees in your area. Two students will move on from each age group and school. Please do not sign up for the school spelling bees if you cannot attend the county bee. The spelling bees cannot accommodate students outside of the listed grade levels.

Articulation refers to how clearly a person can produce sounds and words. Itâs all about making sure your childâs speech is easy to understand. To support their progress, we encourage you to explore fun activities, videos and exercises designed to improve articulation in a fun and meaningful way.
