Veterans, thank you for your service! We want to honor anyone who has served our country in any branch of the military. If there is a veteran in your family who would be interested in joining our Sand Creek Elementary Veterans Day Celebration, please RSVP with your intent to attend.

The program will begin on Monday, November 11th, 2024 with light refreshments beginning at 9:40 am and a special school program following in the gym from 10:00 - 10:40 am.

Our PTO Fundraiser is finishing up on this Thursday, October 24th.

Don't forget to turn in all your forms and money by then. Thank you so much for helping make this Fundraiser a Sweet Success! We know how much work it is to help and we so appreciate it!

Make sure your 4th and/or 5th grader has turned in their FIRE SAFETY POSTER by this coming Friday, October 25th.

Coon Rapids Fire Department sponsors this contest every year for our 4th and 5th Graders. They will award one $50 prize winner from each local school plus they will be picked up by a fire truck to go to CRFD for a pizza party! A $75 grand prize winner will be selected to go on to the state competition. The information and paper for this contest was given to the students a few weeks prior. Please reach out to the 4th or 5th grade teachers for more information.

Lifetouch will be at Sand Creek on Tuesday, October 29th for retakes. Please let your student's teacher know if they will need to have their picture taken.

As was the case last year, we will have a normal school day on Thursday, Oct. 31st. Costumes are not allowed at school nor can students bring candy to school that week for snack, as it does not align to our district's Wellness Policy. Thank you for your cooperation!

November 5th is Election Day and several schools are being used as polling sites, there will be NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS on Tuesday, November 5th. It will be a district wide Staff Development Day.

Mark your calendars for our next Family Engagement Night! Tuesday, November 12th we will be holding a Math Night here for all students and their families from 5:30 - 7:00pm. This was previously scheduled for the 14th, but had to be shifted due to Mathnasium's availability. Please RSVP below to let us know if you will be attending!

Vicki Mochinski is our wonderful Volunteer Services Coordinator here at Sand Creek. She always has volunteer opportunities available if you are interested! Click HERE to fill out the forms to be able to volunteer - and also to be ready for those Field Trips that are coming around.

There are so many ways to help out our school, not only by volunteering, but monetarily. Did you know that you can download the Box Tops App to earn free money for our school. There really is an app for everything!

We encourage all families to complete an application for Educational Benefits, including free/reduced lunch. Yes, breakfast and lunch are free for all students this year, but those who qualify for free/reduced lunch receive this benefit from federal funds, those who do not qualify receive the benefit from state funds. Sand Creek also receives additional federal funds based on the number of families who qualify for this benefit. Please follow this link to apply for Educational Benefits today.
