Area of Growth -- Trying something new
Earlier this week, I asked staff at Riverside and Roberts to provide me with some feedback on the Library Program and myself for my Educator Effectiveness Mid-Year Survey. Thank you to those who completed this Google Form already.
There was a gem of an idea provided by someone in the "area of growth" section of the survey. The gem was to consider putting together some presentations, activities, or read alouds that I would send invites out for and have teachers sign up if interested. I love the idea and will work to do such things in a way that makes sense for me. I will create presentations, activities, or read alouds if the idea I present has interest. As you can imagine, I'd hate to work on something that no one ultimately signs up for.
I'm going to publicize ideas for presentations, activities, or read alouds in my newsletter under the heading GEM OF AN IDEA. If interested in an idea, please click on the link to "sign-up" letting me know your name and when you'd like me to do this with you and your class. I'm asking you to let me know the week you would like it to happen. I'll touch base with you to set up the specific times or you can book the specific time on my calendar (links located at the bottom of my emails or this newsletter).

Stay after the reading for a live Q&A with students" (Excerpt from Mackin registration website).
Tech News (Review Information)
I learned recently that the Chromeboxes and Chromebooks in our district need to be on over the weekend to receive any necessary updates to the Chrome Operating System. On Fridays, please make sure you and the students leave Chromebooks on and only close them. DO NOT shut them down/power off. For your Chromebox on the ViewSonic, please leave this on as well. You can either sign-out of the Chromebox or do a lock screen (press the windows key+L). If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
