SOLES WALK
Our walk for Holy Trinity is today. We will be walking around the community with signs and balloons!
The 2021 Soles for Catholic Education Walk offers Catholic schools the opportunity to raise funds towards a specific fundraising goal that will benefit students at their school. Schools will hold local community events to celebrate Catholic education, as well as give back to their local community through various service projects. We hope you will support our efforts by making a secure online donation. Make your gift today!
Thank you for supporting Catholic schools!
To donate, please go to

VIRTUE OF GRATITUDE
Gratitude is having a thankful disposition of mind and heart.
Opposing Trait: Not expressing appreciation; taking other people and things for granted
Prayer: "Dear Jesus, Please give me a thankful heart, realizing that all I have comes from You."
Scripture: Luke 17:11-19
Saint: St. Augustine
Aspiration: Come Holy Spirit, increase in me the Gift of Piety
Ways to Cultivate: Count the good things (blessings) in one's life; express gratitude even when it is difficult.
Looks Like and Sounds Like: Smile at your mom after she cooks dinner. Say "Thank you". Say "I am thankful for.....". Write a thank you note. Say thank you even for difficult or unwanted things (homework, cleaning your room, etc.). Count the blessings in your life.
Volleyball
Thank you to the coaches and Mr. Herman, athletic director, for all the time and talent you gave to both the A Team and B Team girls this season!
Red Ribbon Week
Children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don’t; yet, only a quarter of teens report having these conversations.
Red Ribbon Week® (October 23-31), the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the nation, is your opportunity to get the ongoing conversation started.
This year’s theme is Drug Free Looks Like Me™
Visit www.redribbon.org to learn more about Red Ribbon Week® and get tips for talking to your kids about drugs. The life you save may be that of your own child or a dear friend.

A Note from Mrs. Longden
Say to the Lord, "My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust." (Psalm 91:2)
This is a good reminder, especially in times of turmoil and anxiety, that our trust and confidence should always be in the Lord.
It's hard to believe the end of October is almost here! We are so blessed to have had no major issues with COVID during this part of school, and I just want to thank you all for your attentiveness to the guidelines in place and encourage everyone to keep up the great work.
We are about a month away from the end of the trimester. Grades can be an important measure of how a student is progressing, but they are not the only measure. I know that all of our teachers are more interested in each student doing their best, than the grade at the end of term. Our primary goal as a Catholic school is not to have your child earn good grades; we want them to grow into men and women of faith and virtue, prepared to enter the next stage of their lives. We hope that they come to school ready to learn because they wonder about the beautiful gift of creation that God has given us, and they are in awe of the love that Jesus shows us each day. The Catholic Church has always taught that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our school serves to assist you in the role, and by working together, we can have the greatest impact. I encourage you to check up on your child in a way that fits their needs. For a younger child, they may need more assistance, while an older child may need to practice taking initiative. Some students may be able to work independently, while others will need more support - even in the same classroom. Each student is unique, and each is a beautiful child of God.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
