Please Read! Altered Arrival and Dismissal
As you know, Oktoberfest is next Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th! Due to set-up for Oktoberfest, we will have altered arrival procedures next Thursday (9/26), as well as the following Monday (9/30). We will also have altered dismissal procedures on Wednesday and Thursday next week. There is a possibility we could need to use altered dismissal the following Monday as well.
Carefully read the information below and contact your child’s teacher or the office if you have any questions. As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, September 27.
ARRIVAL (September 26 & 30)
• Arrival in the alley will remain the same. Please DO NOT use 16th Street to access the alley as this will interfere with our altered arrival in the parking lot. Enter the alley from 14th Street.
• Arrival in the main lot- The parking lot will be unavailable, so we will ask all cars to stay in a straight line on 16th Street and pull all the way up (even with the Hartman Hall entrance). We will have several staff members stationed along 16th Street to direct families, and help children safely walk into the building. We greatly appreciate your patience!
DISMISSAL (September 25, 26, & possibly Sept. 30)
• ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP IN THE ALLEY. You should use 14th Street to enter the alley and follow the line of cars until you are on the south side of the school building. Do not attempt to enter the alley on 15th or 16th Street as this will cause a significant traffic jam.
After your children are in the car, exit the alley to the right- do not attempt to turn left onto 17th Street as this will significantly backup dismissal traffic. If you need to travel south on 17th Street, you should exit to the right, and use the roundabout. Please check the times below for each dismissal group, and plan your arrival time accordingly. This will help tremendously with traffic flow. Please go by the last name of your oldest child.
• 2:45- last names A-H
• 2:55- last names J-P
• 3:05- last name R-Z
• 3:15- walkers and bike riders dismissed
We will notify you through School Messenger of any unforeseen changes. We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility to accommodate setup.
We look forward to seeing you for a fun weekend at Oktoberfest!
2024 Oktoberfest!
Out of Uniform Next Week
Oktoberfest Choir Performance
Friday, September 27 is our Oktoberfest Performance at 5pm. We are the first act. I ask that student please meet me at the music tent (between the front porch of the school and the gym) by 4:50pm. We will check in, line up, get our music, and warm up a little. Our set is about 15-20 minutes, and following the performance, students will be released back to you. It is important that I release your child back to you; they can't just run off.
Students can wear any PTO shirt or spirit wear shirt, Oktoberfest shirt, 8th grade shirt, or a uniform shirt. Students can wear any bottoms that they like. Please check the weather and plan accordingly.
Thank you,
Dr. Chrisman

Remember, every kiddo whose family volunteers gets to join our ice cream party later in October! Holy Name: Oktober Fest 2024 Volunteers (signupgenius.com)

An Extra Pair of Clothes
It's always a good idea to send an extra outfit in your students backpack for emergencies no matter the age! The little kids sometimes have accidents and the big kids spill drinks and food at lunch. The office is depleted of most sizes of extra clothing so please send extra clothes with your student.
