ON REMOTE DAYS WE WILL ONLY BE RUNNING 3 PERIODS A DAY.
1st day is an “A” Day - PERIODS 1, 2 AND 3.
2nd day would be "B" Day - PERIODS 4, 5 AND 6.

- To access the video conference, students only need to log into their school assigned Chromebook with their student login.
- In the Video Conference, students will receive the lesson and have an opportunity to ask questions.
- Students will finish the class with the assignment that is posted in the teacher’s Learning Management System (Google classroom, Canvas classroom)
- Students need to be on their computer, but they do not need to turn their cameras on. They will need to interact in the chat box, so we know they are engaged.
- Teachers will be taking attendance. We will not enter attendance into the computer, but attendance is taken for assignment tracking and for make-up work protocols.
- If a student is unable attend the Video Conference, they can choose to email their teachers if they need assistance.

Your application is critical to WMS maintaining Title 1 status.
Multiple ways you can qualify:
- Qualify under income guidelines
- Qualify under Migrant Ed

Student Pick-Up - During School Hours
For students needing to be picked up during the school day (7:45 am - 2:15 pm)
Calling the office 10 minutes prior to your arrival is helpful, especially if you're in a time crunch. Sometimes students are in P.E. class and need to change out, or Music class at the other end of the school, which will take extra time to get to the office.
Requirements for signing a student out of school early are:
- MUST be on the Contact/Pick Up/Emergency contact list in ParentVue
- MUST have Photo I.D.
We understand things happen last minute causing transportation arrangements to change. A parent/guardian may contact our office with the information of anyone who they have arranged to pick up their student, but is NOT on the pick up list, otherwise we will need to call for approval.
Parents can also add to their emergency pick up list by going into your registration on ParentVue, adding approved pick up, then re-submitting the form. If you have any questions, please call 907-841-5300.
