Those students must be picked up by a parent or drive themselves if they are drivers. Parents must utilize the drop off and pick up locations at Door 9 and Door 32. Our buses will depart at 3:39 p.m. as usual. If your child is still taking a bus, they will need to attend the pep session. CONGRATULATIONS to Ava Kainrath, Henry Pham, Lily Pillsbury and Pranesh Raghavendran for being selected semi-finalists in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship program!
This nationwide pool of semifinalists represent less than one percent of high school seniors and were selected based on their academic excellence, recommendations and application. Finalists will be announced in the spring and they will compete for one of 2,500 $2,500 scholarships.
In addition, we had 7 seniors named Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program! Commended students are recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the entry qualifying test.

School Day PSAT & SAT: Oct 15th
On Tuesday, October 15th, all freshman, sophomores, and juniors will be participating in College Board’s PSAT exam. This assessment is a great opportunity to prepare for the SAT. Additionally, the PSAT holds a little more weight for members of the junior class, as those who score high enough on the PSAT may qualify for National Merit scholarships.
All 12th graders, unless already preregistered for the SAT, will be expected to do an alternate educational activity this day. This includes taking a college visit, job shadowing, or performing community service.
It is extremely important for everyone to do their very best on the PSAT! Here are some reminders for the October 15th test:
* This is a digital exam, so every student must come prepared with a fully-charged Chromebook and charging cord.
* Students should bring pencils or pens to work out problems on scratch paper. Students may use their own calculators, but there is also a calculator embedded in the Bluebook testing platform.
* Cell phones and smartwatches must be turned off and put away during testing. The use of any electronic device at any time during the testing, even during breaks, will result in your dismissal and your test will be invalidated.
* Students must arrive at school on time to participate in the PSAT. Students arriving late will not be admitted into the testing rooms.
* Students should report directly to their testing rooms when they arrive at school. For most students, this will be their CORE advisory room. Students testing in other rooms should have received a pink note with their specific testing room.
* At the end of testing, we will release students. Students with standard time will be released at 11:30 a.m. Students with extended time accommodations will be released at 12:45 p.m. Please make arrangements to get picked up or leave at that time. There will be bus transportation available, with buses
leaving the main cafeteria at 1:00 PM.
*There will be NO early dismissals or PSAT makeups.

Westfield Washington Schools use a program called TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
*The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct.
