Please remember all students at CEW South receive breakfast and school lunch free of charge. While some items available during lunch muse be purchased, all students have access to the standard meal each day.

Morning Arrival
Please remind your student that they must use the designated walkways when arriving and leaving from school. Students who arrive by bus must walk on the sidewalk, all the way around and enter the building through the back entrance. Students who are car riders or walkers must use the designated crosswalk and stay on the sidewalk. Students may not cut through the parking lots. Additionally, please make sure that student drop offs are occurring only in the car rider line. Cars may not stop on Sanders Road to let students out, or use the front or back parking lot. Thank you for your assistance in keeping all our students safe!

These camps provide a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and foster a sense of pride in being part of the West Ashley Wildcats community.

CCSD Personal Electronic Device Policy (JICJ)
Please continue to encourage your students to follow Policy JICJ. We appreciate the team effort! We recognize our students who are following state and district guidelines by remaining a phone-free environment.
Remember, students may not be on their personal electronic devices during school hours. This is a South Carolina and CCSD policy. Students who choose to not follow the rules will receive the outlined consequences by Mr. Smith. If you need to contact your student or they need to contact you, please contact the front office.

State Testing is THIS week! How can you help your student to be prepared and do their best? Follow these tips with your student, starting this week to prepare for the next two weeks of testing!
1. Sleep Well
- Get 8β10 hours of sleep so youβre ready to shine.
2. Eat a Good Breakfast
- Fuel up with healthy food β your brain will thank you!
3. Arrive Early
- Getting to school on time helps you feel calm and ready.
4. Stay Positive
- Believe in yourself β you are ready for this!
5. Take Your Time
- Read carefully, do your best, and check your work!
Please remember to send your child to school on testing days! It is important that they come rested and prepared for testing. Get them on time so they can get breakfast at school and prepare. We believe in our students and know that they will be successful on SC READY!

We are looking forward to our Spring Carnival!! Please make sure to sign the liability form below - enjoying the inflatables is FREE, however, students must have a liability form signed by May 12th in order to participate. Make sure they can jump!

Are you ready to take the field and represent West Ashley High School? Join us for B-Team Football Spring Training and Summer Practice and start preparing for an exciting season ahead!
- Who: Rising 8th and 9th graders. (Rising 9the Graders will move to JV @ the start of summer).
- When: Spring training M, T, Th @ 4:30-615pm.Monday -Thursday. Summer June 2, 2025 @ 8am-11am.
- Where: West Ashley High School Football Practice Field
- What to Bring: Cleats, Sneakers, Athletic Wear, Water Bottle
Important Information:
All participants will need to get a physical by the start of summer practice and have Planet High School Completed.
No experience necessary β come ready to work hard and improve!

- Cell phones and *other devices must be off and out of sight during school hours until dismissal.
- Homeroom teachers will have lock boxes where students are strongly encouraged to turn in their devices until dismissal.
- Cell phones will not be permitted during lunch/recess.
*This includes smart devices and listening devices such as headphones, earbuds, etc.

Tops
- Solid Royal Blue, Black, Navy Blue, Grey, or White collared Polo-Style Shirt, crew neck sweatshirt, or solid jacket.
- No hooded items allowed.
- Official CEW tops (clubs or organizations, team shirts, or school-sponsored events) with black or blue denim jeans with no rips showing skin above the mid-thigh and no inappropriate writing.
Bottoms
- Khaki, Navy, or Black pants.
- Skirts, Skorts, dresses, and shorts at mid-thigh
- Bottoms to be at least mid-thigh.
- Bottoms are to be worn at the waist.
Not Permitted
- No pajamas, leggings/ jeggings, spandex, pajama bottoms, bike shorts, sweatpants/sweatsuits, or athletic shorts.
- No crop tops or spaghetti strap tops.
- No hats, hoods, bandanas, hair picks, rags, hair caps, or scarves.
- No Crocs (or Crocs-style shoes), backless shoes, open-toed shoes, bedroom slippers, flip-flops, or slides.
- No clothing, jewelry, or accessories will be permitted that display profanity, weapons, violence, suggestive, disruptive, or inflammatory phrases, alcohol, tobacco, or drug advertisements.
- Students may not wear accessories or jewelry that may be considered unsafe, as determined by the school administration.
*Students who violate the uniform policy will contact parents/guardians and report to a designated area until the item arrives.
*Dress Down days may allow for some of these items-details for dress
