The Fowler Weekly
April 22-26
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Fowler Family,
We navigated our first week of OSAS Testing and will need your help as we move into week two. Please make sure your student comes to school each day with their ipad 100% charged and ready to go for testing. You will read more reminders below, but our biggest challenge this week was ipads not being fully charged. We appreciate your help with this to ensure testing goes smoothly for everyone.
I want to offer a huge shout out to the Fowler Chess team who competed in Fowler’s first appearance at a State Chess Championship. The team took home the 4th place trophy which means they are one of the top teams in the entire state! Go Falcons!
Sincerely,
Andy
STATE TESTING
Federal and state mandatory testing continues tomorrow, April 22.
All students will be taking the Language Arts assessment this week, April 22, 23, 25 and 26. We rely on these assessments to assist with student placements, funding, and academic growth tracking. Reminder: we will be running a special bell schedule this week. Take note that we will end the day with period 1. We do this in order to keep lunch times about the same.
HAPPENINGS
After all of the business of last week, this week is looking quite “normal”. However, we do have something to celebrate and, we love to celebrate our students!
We handed out Fowler Fist Bumps during the week of April 8. As a reminder, the Fowler Fist Bump is used to recognize our students for their awesomeness! Fowler Falcons definitely are AWESOME and, we want to be sure that we take the time to recognize that fact. If your student is listed below, and they have not already shared, ask them why they received their Fowler Fist Bump.
Congratulations to the Following Falcons:
Quarter 3 Report Cards are available on ParentVue:
We do not mail report cards home. Please sign into either ParentVue or StudentVue. You may access them under the “Documents” tab. It will be the document at the top and will be labeled Quarter 3 Report Card (23-24).
An additional special note from the Cafeteria: they HAVE figured out how to serve Pizza this Thursday, April 25, in spite of the different schedule! We appreciate our Cafeteria Crew! They always have the student’s best interest in mind.
Next week is our Multicultural Night!
Federal and state mandatory testing begins next Monday, April 15.
