Harlem Wizards are Coming to WMS!
Get ready for an unforgettable, family-friendly night as the Willoughby Home Team faces off against the legendary Harlem Wizards in a fun-filled basketball game!

Student Spotlight
WMS 8th Grade Students visit South High School
7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball
- On Monday (1/27) the girls traveled to Eastlake to take on the lakers and came back home with another win.
- On Tuesday (1/28) the 7th grade girls team battled through a tough game and ultimately came on top to achieve their fourth win of the season against Riverside. Over the last two games offensive shoutouts go to Peyton Bambrick, Emily Stoltz and Alyvia Proctor for major scoring and making offensive plays happen. Defensive shoutouts go to Leah Gonzales, Kaliyah Griffin, and Shyla Gore for steals, rebounding, and aggressiveness. Great job girls!
- On Monday (2/3) the lady warriors traveled to Willowick and came home with another win. Leading scorers were Emily Stoltz with 11 points, Payton Bambrick and Alyvia Proctor with 8 points, and Shayla Williams with 7 points. Defensive shoutouts to Jamilah Lockett, Shyla Gore, and Alice McQuillen. Special recognition to Leah Gonzales for scoring her first points last night.
8th Grade:
- On Monday (1/27) the Lady Warriors traveled to Eastlake last night and came back home with a 43 - 8 victory...This puts their record at 3 - 0 for the season. Leading the Warriors was Neve Duffy with 13 points, Demi Wilson and Tia Jackson with 8 a piece. Dallas Williams with 4 points and Journey Jackson with several assists. The Warriors play host to Lamuth (Riverside) today and it will be a tough game.
- On Tuesday (1/28) the Warriors took on Lamuth (Riverside) last night at home and came away with a 38 - 26 victory. Leading the way for the Warriors was Tia Jackson with 17 points, and Neve Duffy with 8 points., Journey Jackson played excellent defense against their best player. Demi Wilson contributed 6 points and Ava Proctor with 4 points and several assists.
- On Thursday (1/30) the 8th grade Lady Warriors ran into a red hot undefeated Mayfield team last night and fell by a score of 46- 26..Leading the Warriors, Neve Duffy with 6 points, Tia Jackson with 6 points, and Journey Jackson with 5 points.
- On Monday (2/3) the 8th grade Lady Warriors traveled to Willowick and came home with a 43 - 3 win. Pacing the Warriors was Neve Duffy and Tia Jackson with 12 points each., Juliana Joeright contributed 5 points including a 3 point goal. Ava Proctor had 6 assists.
- On Tuesday (2/4) the Lady Warrior 8th grade basketball team traveled to Kenston , and came home with a hard fought tough win in a place that is very difficult to play. The score; Warriors 35 - Kenston 26. Leading the Warriors was Tia Jackson with 9 points, Demi Wilson with 8 points, and Neve Duffy with 8 points including 2-3 pointers. Juliand Joeright hit a 3 point shot in the 4th quarter and was fouled and it turned out to be a huge turning point in the game.

School Programs & Supports
AWT - Presidents' Day STEM Day
February 17th, 2025 | 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Open to ages 9-14, this hands-on event combines creativity and technology as students design and build their own light-up acrylic signs. Participants will work with EL wire and acrylic, learning how to blend art and engineering to create a unique glowing masterpiece.

WECS Community Activities
Are you looking for activities for your children? Interested in family programs in the community? There are so many options for Willoughby-Eastlake families, such as city departments of recreation, sports teams, scouting, camps and special events in all of our surrounding communities, plus so much more!
Information from approved organizations who host activities for Willoughby-Eastlake youth and the community are posted electronically. Paper flyers from organizations are not sent home with students.
