Band Concert Postponed
Dear Band Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to personally share an update regarding our Christmas Concert, originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
On November 1, I experienced a heart attack that required me to take two weeks away from work to recover. Since returning, I’ve been focused on getting back into the rhythm of teaching while also participating in a cardiac rehabilitation program to support my ongoing recovery. While I’m grateful to be back with our amazing students, this process has been an adjustment, and it’s important that I prioritize both my health and the quality of the experiences we provide for your children.
With that in mind, we have made the decision to postpone the concert to a later date. This will ensure that our students have the time and preparation they need to put on the outstanding performance they’ve worked so hard for. I truly appreciate your understanding and support as I navigate this life-changing event.
We will announce the new concert date as soon as it is finalized, and I am confident it will be a performance worth the wait. Thank you for being such an integral part of our band family and for your patience during this time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am so proud of our students and am looking forward to seeing them shine on stage soon.
Sincerely,
Mr. English

Box Tops for Education
Dear SMMS families,
As part of our ongoing fundraising efforts, we want to remind you that you can help us earn funds through Box Tops for Education by simply submitting your grocery receipts.
Here are two easy ways to participate:
Drop Off Your Receipts: Bring your receipts to the office and place them in the designated Box Tops Collection Box. Our Box Tops Coordinator will scan them for you—no need to do a thing!
Scan Your Own Receipts: If you prefer, you can scan your receipts using the Box Tops app. It's quick and easy! Just download the app, scan your receipt, and submit.
Every Box Top adds up, and your participation helps us get closer to our goal. Please take a moment to either drop off your receipts or submit them through the app. We appreciate your support!
Thank you for helping make a difference!
