Last Month of School Year 23-24

Dear Puentes Middle School Community,

It's already May! Eighth grade parents--are you ready to have a high school student? Our STAAR tests are over and we await the results. Students who perform well on the STAAR test are exempt from the 9 weeks test.

Congratulations to our Advanced Orchestra who got Superior Ratings on stage and an Excellent Rating in sight reading! Beginning Orchestra also received Superior Ratings. Great job Orchestra!

We continue to push for everyone to complete online registration! Our elective classes are filling up and students who are not registered are losing a space for an elective that they want!

Remember, once our school reaches 100% capacity, your child will be overflowed to another campus! We are currently at about 95%!

Our attendance incentives are in full swing with students receiving lots of cool prizes. We can't wait to giveaway our PS5 at the end of the semester!

Stock the Lounge--Thank you!

Thank you to all of our parents for your donations for our 1st annual Stock the Lounge! Our teachers will be enjoying lots of treats next week thanks to you!

If you haven't dropped off a donation, we will still accept them through Tuesday.

Again, thank you for taking care of our staff!

Dress Code Reminders--NO non-Puentes pullover Hoodies!

The weather is warmer and students should either wear a Puentes pullover or a zip up if they are chilly. We will confiscate any non-Puentes hoodies for students to pick up after school.

We still have many students who come to school in leggings. They are referred to Ms.
Clark to get pants.

As a reminder, we do not send students home because of Dress Code. We accommodate as much as possible and ask if they can call home. We do not believe in disrupting learning due to dress code.
