Private School Recommendation Process
Please review the information on our website about what is required and the timeline and required documents:
- Please note that application requests are due to Eckstein by Friday, December 6, 2024.
- Application requests will not be processed prior to December. Most private school applications require first quarter grades and those are not available until later in November.
- Many private school applications are not due until January, but this December timeline gives Eckstein staff sufficient time to process the required documents, including transcripts, and any teacher recommendations that you are requesting from staff.
- If you do not review the steps for processing your applications and submit your requests without complete documents, they will be returned. Some private schools require applicants to fill out portions of the application prior to sending to Eckstein so if those forms are blank, I will return them to you and your request may be delayed. Since I will process applications in order of receipt (completed applications), please be mindful and double check what is required prior to sending me the request.
Lastly, it is at the teacher’s discretion and availability to provide recommendations and evaluations. This is up on our website but please have your student talk to the teacher prior to submitting requests for recommendations or evaluations. This can be time consuming for teachers and having students ask teachers in person is respectful and responsible.
If you have questions, please reach out and thank you!

Attendance Matters!
Parents/Guardians:
Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student's academic success. Even as children grow older and more independent, families play a key role in making sure students get to school every day and understand why attendance is so important for success in school and on the job.
Learn more about the importance of attendance here: https://www.attendanceworks.org/
A reminder that you can use the Source to check your students’ attendance record. You can see all absences and lates that your student has accrued since the first day of school. We encourage you to check in with your student and review their attendance record together!
