Mart ISD Pinks Out!
Over $500 was donated to Baylor Scott & White McClinton Cancer Center in Waco after the Pink Out shirt sales this year. October is breast cancer awareness month.
Bullying Prevention Month
Both campuses kicked off Bullying Prevention Month this week by celebrating kindness. A video was shown to tell students more about Bullying Prevention Month and ways to make a difference at our school. Acts of kindness are being documented and rewarded with prize drawings.
Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Month
October is Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Month in Texas. As little as two grains of fentanyl can kill you. This deadly drug has been found in all 50 states and is being marketed as prescription pills. Fundraisers
Big Kahuna Fundraiser
Mart Elementary's Big Kahuna Fundraiser kicked off Tuesday. This fundraiser allows the campus to pay for activities such as Inflatable Day, Trades Day, Polar Express day, and much more. If you would like to support this fundraiser, contact any Mart Elementary student.
Enrichment Foundation Shirts
You may have seen staff wearing their shirts from the Mart Enrichment Foundation today. If you would like one of your own, visit https://gogandy.com/mart-enrich before October 4th. Shirts are $25 and proceeds benefit the Mart Enrichment Foundation which provides innovative teaching grants to MISD staff each year.
