Verification of Student Enrollment
Dear Powell Families:
In July, you should have received an email from Conroe ISD requesting you submit a "Verification of Student Enrollment." This is required to ensure we have accurate information and gives the parent an opportunity to update any information (such as phone numbers or emails) that might have changed since last year. Even if there are no changes, we still need to receive this submission, so we know everything is accurate.
To date, we have almost 100 families that have not completed their submission.
You should have received this email that also includes a Snapcode with the Infosnap platform to complete this submission. Also, the district has been sending email reminders (last one was sent on 8/13/24) reminding you to complete your submission if you have not done so. These emails have been sent to the primary email address we have for you child's account.
Please make sure you have completed this task and if you have any questions, please reach out to our Registrar, Michelle Lutes, at mlutes@conroeisd.net.
Sending Birthday Treats
We love celebrating student birthdays at school! If you choose to provide birthday treats for your child's class on their birthday, they must be store bought. We request that you do NOT send cupcakes or juice for birthdays. Cupcake icing and juice can quickly cause a mess on our carpets! Cookies or donuts are preferred. Birthday treats will be passed out to the class by your child's teacher at a time when it works best for their class schedule.
Parents at Lunch
Parents are invited to join their child during their lunch period on occasion throughout the school year. Our space for parents at lunch is limited, so we ask that you use the Sign Up Genius link below to register for lunch. Parents who are not registered for lunch will not be admitted. Lunch periods are listed in the Sign Up Genius. You will be asked to show your ID when you check-in at the front desk. We look forward to seeing you at lunch! This link can be found at the bottom of the Publisher throughout the year.
Active Start
Beginning next week, students will have the opportunity to participate in "Active Start" once a week with their grade level! When your child's grade level has Active Start, they will begin their day on the playground! They will have supervised play from 7:25-8:00 and then will be escorted to class at 8:00 to begin their day. Please help your child dress in a way that they will be comfortable playing outside with the morning temperature or weather conditions. On rainy days or extremely cold days, students will have Active Start indoors.
