Our fourth grading period ends on Thursday, February 20th.

Report cards will be published in Harmony Family Access on Wednesday, February 26th.

Students' grades from the third six weeks and fourth six weeks of each course are averaged to create a trimester grade. It is labeled "Final" on their report card.

Eligibility for extracurricular activities is based on students' six week grades.

Eligibility for end-of-year medals is based on trimester grades. Medals are awarded by GPA, not by all As or by all As and Bs.

On Monday, February 10th, Mya Gibson and Gavin Hunter (the 2025 Amazing Shake winner and runner-up) visited the WMPI radio station for an interview about their experience.

We look forward to cheering for Mya and Gavin as they prepare for and travel to the global competition in Atlanta, GA next month.

Builders Club week is February 24 - 28. This year Builders Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary, so please help them celebrate by participating in the following dress-up days:

Monday- 70s day

Tuesday-Rhyme without a reason

Wednesday- color war (hallway w/highest participation wins a prize)

Thursday- silly socks day or wear stripes for Andre

Friday- pay $1 to wear a hat all money goes toward Riley Children’s Hospital.

SMS yearbooks are now on sale.

The cost is $17.

Yearbooks can be ordered via the QR code in the picture or via a paper order form that is available in the SMS office.

The deadline to order is Friday, March 21st.

Winter sports are basketball, cheer, swimming, and wrestling.

Basketball and cheer have ended for the season, but our wrestlers and swimmers are still competing.

Spring sports are baseball, golf, softball, girls' tennis, and track/field.

Baseball and softball conditioning will start on Monday, Feb 17th.
Baseball conditioning is Monday through Thursday in the west gym from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Softball conditioning is Monday through Thursday in the west gym from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Every player must have physical turned in and final forms compete to tryout. Reminder next week is last week of grading period and those grades will determine eligibility for all spring sports.

Students should listen to the afternoon announcements for updates about practices and competitions.

Eventlink is the platform that we use to communicate with parents/family members regarding practices and events.

Harmony made some updates over the summer, including a new link for Harmony Family Access. When you need to visit Harmony Family Access to update information, check grades, add money to a cafeteria account, etc., please use this link. It is also located on the Scott 2 website under "Students & Parents" if you prefer to access it from there.

The Scottsburg MS student handbook contains some updates for the 2024-2025 school year. Once again, the most significant changes took place in the attendance section.

We encourage you to read the handbook with your child(ren) and to contact us with any questions you may have.
