Dear Toro Families,

As we step into October, it’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is flying by! We were thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout for our first "Treats with a Toro" event, bringing our community together for a lunchtime of fun and connection. It was heartwarming to see students, families, and staff mingling, enjoying delicious treats, and strengthening the bonds that make our school a vibrant place to learn.

In addition to our community gatherings, we celebrated our Top Toros during a spirited Friday assembly, recognizing the hard work and achievements of our outstanding students. It’s always inspiring to see our students shine, and we are proud of their accomplishments.

Looking ahead, we are excited for our first ToroSTEAM Day next week, where students will engage in hands-on activities that promote creativity and critical thinking in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Any student that wears the ToroSTEAM shirt (yellow ones) on 10/2 will receive a FREE DRESS pass. If you'd like to purchase one, they are $10.00 in the front office.

Don’t forget that student conferences are scheduled for October 8 from 3-5 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents and guardians to meet with teachers, discuss student progress, and collaborate on ways to support our learners. We look forward to seeing everyone there and continuing to foster a strong partnership between home and school!

ToroSTEAM Day is a full day for all students to experience Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics taught through various activities by guest teachers. This ToroSTEAM Day each homeroom has crafted a ZipLine Trolley to race against other homeroom classes. The homeroom with the fastest Trolley wins a FREE DRESS!

To continue fostering a College and Career atmosphere during middle School, Yorba Middle School students and staff participate in College Shirt Wednesdays! (including AVID & Military branch shirts).

We appreciate your support to ensure we are prioritizing an academic and healthy social emotional environment for our students.

Student cell phones are allowed, but must be kept off in and in the backpack at all times. Should a parent or guardian need to contact a student during the school day, they can do so by contacting the main office. Students also have access to the office phones as needed. Students violating the cell phone policy will have their phones confiscated. In the event a student’s cell phone is confiscated, it will be held in the attendance office and must be picked up by the student’s parent or guardian. LOST or STOLEN personal items are NOT the responsibility of the school to locate or replace.

School Uniforms and PE Clothes are available for purchase in the front office.
