Chronic absenteeism is widely defined as missing 10% or more of the number of school days a student is enrolled. In Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), where a school year consists of 180 days, 18 missed school days, whether excused or unexcused, would be considered chronically absent.

Our Cubs earn Cubby Cash for following “PAWS” at school.

Cubby Cash is awarded when students are:

Our Cubs are well on their way to earning the Movie & Popcorn 9 week reward for excellent PAW behavior! We are so proud of them.

• The event will be held on Oct. 4 in homeroom classes with popcorn from NCG.

In addition, the PBIS team will have their ONLY fundraiser during the movie. Members of the PBIS team will be selling treats for $1 and $2 each. This money is used to buy prizes for the Cubby Cash store and 9 week reward events. PLEASE send in cash only.

Camp Creek Elementary School will hold our local school Walk & Roll to School Day 2024 on October 2, 2024. In doing so, we hope to “Be Active. Be Healthy”– be sure to wear your ORANGE and BLUE!! All students and their guardians are invited to participate.

Get ready for the NINTH ANNUAL Golden Shoe Award!!

• The class with the highest percentage of walkers will be awarded the coveted Golden Shoe Award!

Why walk to school?

• It is FUN- GREAT EXERCISE to get the brain going for the day, a chance to talk to your student about their day, and good for the environment.
• If you would rather bike/scooter to school, please do so - just remember to wear your helmet!
• If you simply live too far away / can’t walk that far, consider walking from a closer location. Participants are welcome to park at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and to walk from there.
• Be sure to thank our wonderful crossing guard for keeping us safe every day!

Students can arrive between 8:15 and 8:45 AM.

• The PTA will provide fun treats to all student participants.
• This event will take place rain or shine.

Book it for the bus! The GCPS Book Mobile 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, November 2, at the GCPS Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, in Suwanee.

This Book Mobile 5K and Fun Run will raise funds to purchase new books for the Book Mobile program, putting books in students’ hands. A family-friendly atmosphere before and after the race features door prizes, snacks, music, and more!
