We are getting into the full swing of things here at CHS! We are in the process of having individual Senior meetings and will start with Junior meetings after that. We will continue to have our virtual Coffee with the Counselors via Facebook Live (10/7 and 10/21). Each session will address important topics, information, and dates. If you can't attend live, we will have them recorded as well! Our next session will address important testing information and testing dates.
On 10/16 we will have a senior summit to address scholarships, FAFSA, graduation requirements, testing, college applications, and other important information regarding our seniors and their post secondary plans.
10/26-10/30 will be Red Ribbon Week for the district. Please see the spirit days below so that your students can participate in the fun! Devoted to the well-being of our children since 1985, Red Ribbon is the largest drug abuse prevention campaign in the nation. The challenges our youth face today are not the same as when we began our work, but our mission has never changed: support our nation's families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth.
Please continue to check our guidance page on the CHS website for the most up to date information and resources.

October Mindfullness Tip (Take 5)
Soles of the Feet
Practice Description: This practice can be used to help ground our attention and stay focused during conversations, while giving a presentation, taking a free throw or performing in a concert. Planting our feet like the roots of a tree can keep our mind in the present and our thoughts from unraveling. It may help to focus primarily on what we are feeling while also remaining aware, but to a lesser degree, on the people we are with.
