St. Joe’s Fun Run is Tomorrow!

Start working on those dance moves…the St. Joe’s Fun Run sponsored by Parilla Grill and Bandanna Running and Walking is TOMORROW!

The St. Joe’s Fun Run – presented by Parilla Grill and Bandanna Running and Walking tomorrow! There will be snacks, music, fun, dancing, lots of cheerleaders (parents come on down!), and a few surprises to motivate our students. Students should come dressed in their Fun Run shirt (distributed today/tomorrow) and will be allowed to wear athletic shorts all day long. Thank you Mr. McCormick!

The Fun Run isn’t just for our students. Parents and siblings — you are welcome too! Come and participate with your student(s) or cheer them on! Can’t make it all day? Here’s the scoop!

Please read, the 4th and 5th grade time has CHANGED to 10 minutes earlier!

4th and 5th grade: 11:25 a.m. (previously 11:35)
Kindergarten and first grade: 12:15 p.m.
2nd and 3rd grade: 12:45 p.m.
6th and 7th grade: 1:15 p.m.
8th grade: 1:45 p.m.

Idaho Catholic Schools Speech Contest - Tonight!

Tonight is the speech competition held at St. Joe's, doors open at 5:45 and the speeches begin at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and support our speakers!

The feast day of Blessed Carlo Acutis!

This year we have chosen Blessed Carlo Acutis to be our Saint of the Year. It is an especially exciting time to continue to learn about him as he has been approved for canonization and it has been indicated that this will happen in 2025, the church's Jubilee year! This is very exciting as he will be the first millennial saint and is someone many young people can relate to and aspire to be like!

This year our Student of the Month awards will focus on attributes of Blessed Carlo Acutis. They are Joy & Evangelization, Stewardship, Generosity, Studious, Aptitude for Technology, Faith & Adoration, Humor, Kind & Inclusive and Temperance!

His feast day is October 12th and we will be learning more about him, celebrating his life and praying for his intercession all next week!

Salt & Light Catholic Radio's Fall Pledge Drive is October 16-18, daily from 7 AM to 6 PM. St. John's Cathedral will be featured on Friday, October 18, from 3:00 PM to 5:40 PM. The theme, "Witnesses of Hope," highlights inspiring testimonies from fellow parishioners. Tune in to 102.3 FM or 1140 AM, the Salt & Light Radio App, or online. Pledge by 10/15 to be entered into a drawing for a weekend cabin stay, plus another drawing to win a pilgrimage to Italy! There will be a vaccine clinic available for students on October 22nd at school. If you are interested please fill out and send your student with this consent form and their insurance card.
