2024/2025 School Year
Greetings Members of the WWIA Community!
Welcome to the start of week three!
I hope this letter finds you well and energized as we embark on the third week of the school year. It’s been a fantastic start to the academic year, and I am incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication you’ve shown so far. As we continue our journey, I want to take a moment to remind everyone of a few key aspects that are crucial to our collective success.
Attendance: Regular attendance is the foundation of academic success. Being present in class not only ensures that you don’t miss out on valuable learning experiences but also demonstrates your commitment to your education. Please remember that each day you are in class contributes to your overall progress and helps you stay on track with your goals. If you need to be absent for any reason, make sure to communicate with your teachers and keep up with any missed work.
Behavior: Our school community is built on mutual respect, responsibility, and kindness. Following the school rules and treating each other with dignity helps create a positive and productive learning environment. Your behavior in and out of the classroom reflects your character and contributes to a supportive atmosphere where everyone can excel. Let’s continue to uphold our high standards and follow our PBIS C.A.R.E.S expectations of Community, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy .
Academic Achievement: Striving for academic excellence is a fundamental part of expectations. please take advantage of the resources available to you, including your teachers, teacher mentors, administrators, counselors, and classmates. Approach your classes with a proactive mindset, set achievable goals, and seek help when needed. Remember, your effort and determination are key to your overall success as a student.
As we move forward, let’s keep these principles in mind and work together to create a wonderful school environment. I have confidence in your ability to meet and exceed the high expectations we have set. Let’s make this week another great one by staying engaged, working hard, and supporting each other.
Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment. Let’s make this a fantastic third week of school!

Attendance Policy Information
Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is crucial for your child's academic success. Please make every effort to ensure your child attends school on time every day and stays throughout the whole day. Consistent attendance throughout the school day allows your child to engage in learning and maximize their educational opportunities fully.
Illness: If your child is not feeling well and cannot attend school, please notify us immediately. Students who are ill should not attend school to prevent the spread of illness to others.
Excused Absences: We understand that there may be instances when your child needs to be absent due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or other legitimate reasons. Please notify the school in advance whenever possible to classify the absence as excused.
Unexcused Absences: Unexcused absences negatively impact your child's education. Absences without valid reasons will be considered unexcused, and appropriate actions may be taken per district policy.
Timely reporting of absences helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensures that your child's absence is properly documented. Absences must be reported within 24 hours.
There are two convenient methods for reporting your child's absence to facilitate efficient communication and accurate attendance records.
You can notify your child's school through the dedicated attendance line. Please leave a detailed message stating your child's name, grade, and reason for absence.
You can report absences directly through MiStar, our secure online portal for student information. MiStar provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to submit absences.
Thank you for your ongoing support in creating a positive and productive learning environment for all our students.
