Principal's Message
Dear Westmoor community,
I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break this past week! The administration team and myself have worked through the break on campus, as we prepared our master class schedule system for the fall semester, reviewed our buildings and grounds, and honed our instructional focus for the rest of the school year. Although the relative quietness on campus has allowed us to be very productive, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we're eager to welcome back our students after the break. A few items to keep top of mind:
- Last Friday, February 14th, was the last day of the first spring report card period. Teachers are wrapping up grades and will be submitting them next week after the break. Please make sure to check your mailboxes in the coming weeks and review your ParentVUE app to stay up-to-date on your student's attendance, grades, and class progress.
- Westmoor's annual prom will be on March 29th, at San Francisco's City Hall. It is quickly shaping up to be an exciting night for our students to enjoy their time together, particularly as our seniors prepare for the end of their high school career. Tickets are available and can be purchased on campus from Ms. Oliver, who is our school cashier, as well as the student store in the quad.
- The week of March 17-21 will be used for CAASPP testing for 11th and 12th graders! Further details will be sent out by Dr. He, but families and students should note that this is a required series of tests that Westmoor students must complete. Students should expect to report on time to school and expect to hear more about their testing assignments. We would ask all of our families of 11th and 12th grade students to avoid traveling or vacations during this time if at all possible.
- Westmoor is opening up a new sport this spring semester, with the introduction of boys volleyball! Our new team is currently practicing and preparing for their first upcoming matches. Much thanks to Ms. Mary Ann Paul for making this happen!
Thank you for your time, and should you have further questions, do let me know!
