Project Based Learning
Project Based Learning 3-day Program
Project Based Learning
PBL 101 Provides you learn all about Gold Standard Project Based Learning and, most importantly, how to get started in your classroom. You'll walk away with a draft of a standards-based, PBL project unit, ready to finish and implement with your students. To learn more go to our Agenda and Overview. Dates: PBL 101: July 9, 10 & 11, 2024 (8 AM - 3 PM)
Why 3 consecutive days? The work you'll be doing is deep and challenging and can be transformative for your practice. Three days creates the space for active, hands-on project planning, peer collaboration and feedback, and reflection on learning that leads to sustained change. Throughout the workshop, participants will consider educational equity in their classrooms and in their projects.
PBL is a balanced blend of direct instruction, video analysis, hands-on work, resource sharing, and peer collaboration and feedback. Each participant will leave with a project ready to be implemented in their classroom, and the teaching practices to facilitate high-quality PBL.
*Participants will need to bring their own laptop/Chromebook and headphones/earbuds.*
