Thank You for Your Service
A Blog by Dr. John Schwartz, Superintendent
It’s been a pretty neat week in Millard, and I wanted to share a few of these moments with you. First, there was the unexpected reminder of our armed forces. As many of you may have noticed, like we did, several fighter jets, including stealths, flew over Millard earlier in the week. I know many of our classes paused for a moment, so everyone could take in the sight.
Later in the week our schools began honoring our Active Duty, Reserve and Veteran service members. We mark Veterans Day in so many ways across the district with everything from videos and artwork to presentations and breakfasts. It’s really powerful to see our students step up and recognize those who have served, especially when it’s mom, dad, a grandparent or another family member.
To all of our family and staff members who are serving and who are Veterans, thank you. We appreciate your service and your sacrifice. Below are some of the many pictures from this week.
