Easter Letter 2025
28th March 2025
EASTER
Dear Parent/Carer,
It has been another busy half term, with various school trips to a number of theatre productions for Years 10, 11 & 13, a trip to UCL East Law into University for Year 8 and many sporting fixtures. This all culminates in various reward events taking place during the last week of term (w/c 31st March). You will also receive our half termly Parents’ Newsletter shortly, which I hope you will enjoy reading about all the term’s events.
Students and staff have also been involved in a number of Catholic Life events such as Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and Stations of the Cross in the lead up to the Lent period. As well as a Year 10 & 12 Flame trip organised by staff who gave up their Saturday to take students on this spiritual event at Wembley Arena.
If you are a parent of a Year 11 or 13 student, your child will have received their mock examination results recently. In order to provide them with further support with their final examinations which start on Thursday 8th May, there will be a number of revision classes taking place during the Easter holidays. Details of which have been shared with you.
This half term we have welcomed a number of new babies into the Cardinal Pole family from staff members who have recently been on maternity/paternity leave. We wish Ms Addae, Ms Tiberi and Mr Tisi and their families well. We have also welcomed two new members of staff, Mr Birch (Mentor) and Mr Obaseki (Inclusion Assistant), we hope they have a long and happy career at Cardinal Pole Catholic School. Sadly, we have also said goodbye to some members of staff and we wish them well for the future. They are; Ms Hull (Pastoral Support Manager for Year 7), Ms Leahy (Deputy Office Manager) and Mr Crossley and Ms Garnham (PE Teachers).

When speaking about the joy of the resurrection at Easter, Pope Francis said “Let us pray for it for one another: the joy that comes from the Holy Spirit: the joy of Easter obedience, the joy of Easter witness, and the joy of Easter realism.” Whilst we pray, we continue to keep Pope Francis in our prayers.
I wish you a restful break and a Holy Easter!
Yours sincerely,
Mr A Hall
