The Transportation Department received 2nd place in the Christmas parade last weekend!

Say congratulations to two members of our high school choir, Madison Campos and Ariel White, for achieving the status of MSVMA State Honors Choir. This is a high and challenging accomplishment. They memorized and were able to sing 4 college level repertoire pieces acapella and sight sing in front of a judge. They spent many hours of their own time and after school rehearsing. They will now learn 4 more new pieces and will be performing with the best choir singers in the state at the music teachers conference January 25 at DeVos Performance Hall. We are very proud of these girls and look forward to their progress in learning and being a part of this fantastic event.

Dorr Elementary students had the opportunity to shop at the Santa Secret Shop provided by the Dorr PTO. Pictured it 3rd grader Ruby, helping her little sister Nora shop!

Students in Mrs. Hudson's class at Dorr Elementary are reading about musical instruments. Mr. Truswell added to the lesson by bringing in a trumpet and playing for the class. What a great way to bridge music and reading all in one lesson!

On Friday, December 13th, middle school students had the opportunity to make bracelets while listening to Taylor Swift's Holiday music (today just so happens to be her birthday)! This event was in partnership with the Youth Librarian at Henika Library.

On Friday, December 13th, WUHS held their annual Staff Chili Cookoff Contest. And the winner is.......Marcia Merren! Check out that trophy!

District Administrative Support Staff members had an opportunity to share in a bit of holiday fun after their monthly professional development meeting this week. We truly appreciate all that these staff members do to keep our district running smoothly.
