I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with joy, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. As we return to school, we’re gearing up for a busy and exciting few weeks ahead! With activities, events, and learning opportunities planned, it’s sure to be a December to remember.

It is hard to believe we are starting to plan for the 2025-2026 lottery to open in early February. We are hoping you can take a few moments to let us know whether your family has other children attending another elementary school within NMUSD or a private school and if you intend to put them in the lottery for Davis for the 2025-2026 school year. This information will be valuable as we make preparations for the lottery and the 2025-2026 school year. Click here to fill out the survey.

Parent Square Update
As part of the ParentSquare pilot, our school will begin sending notifications regarding attendance via ParentSquare beginning on 12/16/24. All notifications will be sent via email and text. If the text message fails, you will receive an automated telephone call. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Lost and Found
Our lost and found is full! Stop by to check for lost sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes and more. All items left at 4pm on 12/20/24 will be donated.

Battery Recycling
It’s time for Costa Mesa Sanitary District’s Battery Recycling Contest! Each year, schools collect batteries for recycling and earn money for their school at the same time! Please help us by sending in your used batteries to add to the box.

Breakfast and Lunch Menus
Pizza returns next week!!!
Breakfast and lunch continue to be free for all students. Please review the menus with your children for days they want to get lunch from our cafeteria. You can also set up an automatic email to have them emailed each week!!

🍿Family Movie Night is TOMORROW – Friday 12/6 🎬

Join us on Frainie Field for dinner and a movie under the stars. Bundle up with your blankets and beach chairs, and come watch INSIDE OUT 2 with the Davis community. Dinner and snacks will be served starting at 5pm while supplies last, compliments of the PTA. Movie will start at sunset. Info here.

Ceramics are back from the kiln!

For those who attended Ceramics Night, completed ceramics pieces will be available for pick up tomorrow, Friday, December 6th in the Duck Pond (in between the Library and Teacher's Workroom). Please pick up your items no later than next Friday, December 13th.

Mendocino Farms dine-out – Wednesday, December 11th

Next Wednesday 12/11, grab a meal at Mendocino Farms’ new location on Adams & Harbor between 2-9pm, and they’ll donate 30% back to Davis. See here for info or mention Davis when placing your order.
