CPA Tiger Talk

CPA students, families, and staff, welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! To those of you new to our school community, we are excited to build relationships with you and get to know you in the days and weeks ahead. To those of you who are returning to us, we look forward to the leadership you will provide this year at CPA.

The beginning of the school year is an exciting time. The whole year is ahead of us, and it seems that anything is possible. We can only imagine the friends we will make, the experiences we will share, the ideas we will explore, and the ways we will grow as individuals and as a community.

Whatever the year has in store for us, please know that we are here to help you have the best possible school year. And that all starts with a great Week 1--so let's get started!

CPA students are expected to in uniform every day for school. Families, please help ensure your children are wearing proper uniform clothing each day.

All students must wear:

• A CPA shirt as the outermost layer
• Blue, Black, Khaki or Gray Solid Color Pants or Shorts
• OR Girls’ Navy Uniform Jumper, Skirt or Skort (elementary only)

Monday August 28: First Day of School for Grades 1-12

Wednesday August 30: First Day of School for PreK & K

Monday September 4: Labor Day (No School)

Monday September 11: Board of Directors Meeting, 6pm

Friday September 29: Early Release Day (Dismissal at 12:30pm)

New this year: all Minnesota students will receive a free breakfast and lunch every day!

Students who wish to purchase a second lunch may do so. Students or staff can add money to their lunch account using the SchoolPay system.

Current breakfast and lunch menus can be found on the CPA website.

Please let us know if your child is absent from school. Families can report absences in any of the following ways:

CPA is partnering again this year with Every Meal to provide weekend food bags for interested students/families. The Every Meal program is available to everyone, regardless of income. You can register by filling out this form or completing the paper registration that will be coming home with your child.

Every Meal bags will begin being distributed as soon as possible this fall. We will share the date of the first distribution once it is confirmed.

We are excited for our 2023--2024 school year for athletics. The first day of high school practice will be the first day of school, Monday August 28.

• Boys soccer 9-12 report to the MPR
• Cross Country 7-12 report to the lunchroom
• Girls volleyball 9-12 report to the gym

Middle school sports will start on Tuesday September 5th after school:

• 7th/8th grade Soccer report to the MPR
• 7th/8th grade girls volleyball report to the gym

Students must be registered before they can join practice. Any interested students can register online on the CPA website.

CPA is still accepting enrollment applications for the 2023-2024 school year.
