Veterans’ Day Assembly
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Veterans' Day Assembly! Fifty-nine veterans were in attendance. Our students were happy to honor and show their appreciation for all of our veterans and their service to our country. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful patriotic musical performance by our 2nd and 5th graders. A special thank you to the Liberty PTA who provided a number of volunteers to support the ceremony! As always, our Liberty PTA is a huge support.
Worthington Resource Pantry Food Drive
Our food drive for the Worthington Resource Pantry continues through next Thursday, November 14th. Donations to the pantry are down considerably compared to previous years, at the same time, the number of families needing additional food resources has increased. We hope to support our local families by collecting both non-perishables and personal care items. The two classrooms that collect the most items will win a DONUT PARTY. If each student at Liberty is able to donate just one item, we would be able to collect 425 donations for the Resource Panty. Can you help? On behalf of the families receiving these donations, the Worthington Resource Pantry thanks you for your generosity!
Morning Student Drop-Off
Students who arrive after 8:10 a.m. are marked tardy and need to come to the main office to sign-in and get a tardy pass. Doors open at 8:00 each morning. As the weather gets cooler, more families are choosing to drive their children to school in the mornings. If this is you, kindly have your child ready to exit your vehicle. This generally means:
Coat is on.
Backpack is zipped and in-hand.
Student is unbuckled when the car is stopped.
Drivers should remain in their vehicles at all times. Students are expected to learn how to open and close their car doors. Thanks so much for your cooperation as we try to safely move cars along in the drop-off lane each morning!
