The Winter GMAS testing session begins on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Parents: Please ensure that you student is getting to school on time. School begins each day at 7:30. If you are arriving to school at 7:30 am, your student will be late.
Best practice: students who are being dropped off should arrive at school no later than 7:00 am. The low traffic times are from 6:30-6:50 am.
Please remember that there are only 15 school days remaining in the semester.
Jenkins Student Spotlight
Congratulations to Victor A. Cintron Rosario
Victor is a Junior and will be representing Jenkins for the third time at the GHSA State Swimming Championship. Last year Victor finished 6th in his 50 yard Freestyle and 15th in his 100 back and was the only male swimmer that qualified for the District and represented Jenkins. He was selected for the 2024 All Greater Savannah Swim Team where he was recognized as a nominee for Swimmer of the Year at the Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards.
This season Victor has been to 2 meets representing Jenkins. In the first meet he qualified for the 100 free and 100 back and at the second meet he qualified for the 50 free and 100 fly. Victor is the only male from the District that has qualified this year.
Herschel V. Jenkins would also like to recognizes: Eryn Hilson and Brooklyn Baldwin for the girls and Ki’Juanus Wright and Isaiah Sanders for the boys for all of their hard work this season.
Region 3-AAA Best Actress Eeshani Malkar
Eeshani Malkar was selected as Best Actress during the Regional One Act Play for her role as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd.

GHSA State Flag Football Brackets
The GHSA State flag football brackets have been set for Thursday, December 5, 2023. The playoffs will be held in Savannah, Ga. And hosted by Jenkins High School. The stadium that we will be using is Savannah High School Stadium: 400 Pennsylvania Ave., Savannah, Ga. 31404.
Game 1- 5:00pm-#4-Dutchtown High School vs. #1-Jenkins High School
Game 2- 6:00pm-#3-Whitwater High School vs. #2-Jackson County High School
Game 3- 7:15pm-Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
