Grandview Families,
We are down to counting the remaining days of school on one hand, but I want to highlight a few areas that all of us as part of the Grandview School Community ought to take great pride in.
With your support, our students have raised thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society through our Relay for Life Event and the 5th grade Umbrella Auction (how fun was that?)
I have said before, but it is worth repeating, I have never worked at a place where students are more connected to their outside community than Grandview Elementary.
When I reflect on the MTSD mission statement, specifically “preparing students as life-long learners and responsible citizens,” I believe GV does an exceptional job at exposing students beyond a myopic view of the ever-evolving world around them.
That cannot occur without buy-in from stakeholders.
Thank you!
I would like to take a moment to wish our 5th grade students nothing but the very best in their middle school endeavors moving forward. The next stage of their educational journey will likely be both challenging and rewarding, but I have little doubt that our kids are prepared for what is in front of them.
Returning families for 24-25: Kindergarten Registration is still open for new enrollees, Kindergarten Readiness testing is tentatively scheduled for August 20th , and Open House(s) are tentatively scheduled for August 29th. More information to follow this summer.
Finally, I hope for a safe, fun, and relaxing summer season for all our students and families.
Make some positive, and lasting memories!
See you in the fall,
Joe
