Dear Badger Community,
Happy New Year and welcome back to our Second Semester on Monday, January 6, 2025! Some students will have schedule changes in this new year, so please review your StudentVUE accounts to ensure that you are in the correct classes.
This month we will have two weeks with schedule adjustments. There will be No School on Monday, January, 20, 2025, in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. On Friday, January 24, 2025, our THMS Student Council will be hosting the Arizona Association of Student Councils' State Convention on our campus. We will not have in-person classes on that day. Students will be given asynchronous assignments for their classes on Friday, January 24, 2025. Teachers will share the assignment information with each of their 2nd, 4th, and 6th period classes that week.
There will be no classes on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, as our district will be hosting a Professional Learning Day for employees. On Monday, January 27, 2025, we will follow a Friday Schedule to balance the class time for the week. The January schedule adjustments are listed below.
Monday, January 6, 2025 represents a clean slate and a fresh start for all of our students. We encourage all students and parents to review the First Semester grades and attendance. To improve academic achievement, we encourage all students to attend every class, on time, every day. Parents can help by closely monitoring class assignments and attendance on their ParentVUE accounts.

This month, students in grades 9-11 will begin registering for courses for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Please see the documents attached below to review the many options available for students at each of these grade levels. Families will have the opportunity to meet with our Counselors during Zoom Office Hours on Friday, January 24, 2025. Students are encouraged to consult their current teachers and counselor regarding any questions they have about course options for next year. Listed below are the dates we will follow this month to provide our students with the information they will need for registration.

The Badger Early College Academy provides students at Tucson High an opportunity to take accelerated, college-level courses, while pursuing any of our award-winning, nationally recognized Career and Technical Education programs, as well as any of our Fine and Performing Arts classes.
BECA is designed for students to complete Pima Community College's Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) Certification, which meets lower division general education requirements for UA, NAU, ASU, NMSU and other institutions, as well as Pima College's transfer degrees.
