100 Things We Learned and Love About The Hansen!
Continuing our celebration of our 100th Day of School on Feb. 7th, Hansen students took time this week to contribute to this mural in our main hallway, by sharing things they 'learned and love about the Hansen'!
Hello Hansen Families,
I hope everyone that was celebrating had a Happy Valentine's Day on Friday! Our staff and students certainly enjoyed the sprit of giving, exchanging valentine's cards in class, with many dressed up for the occasion as well. Also on Friday, students closed out a long stretch of school without much outdoor recess these past six weeks, but in that time they have found creative ways to have fun in their classrooms during recess. We also enjoyed a week of continued donations to some of our charitable causes, with bins overflowing in our lobby.
We're back in school on Monday, Feb. 24th, at 8:20 a.m., but until then I hope everyone has a restful, relaxing and fun February vacation!
Thank you,
Paul McKnight
Principal

Celebrating Black History Month!
Part of our celebration of Black History Month is enjoying the mural below, created by Mrs. Kohl and her students, in Hansen’s main level hallway featuring many past and present African-Americans, detailing their accomplishments and contributions to society.
This Black History Month mural below, was created by staff and students in Miss Keohane’s classroom for Hansen's main upstairs hallway. It highlights some of the traits demonstrated by famous African-Americans.

Over the coming weeks, we will work together by asking friends and family to consider making a donation to support our school by visiting MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.
