Cross Country
Jaxon Alonso back in November competed in Regionals for Cross Country and ran a personal best of a 18:57.3. Jaxon Alonso and Carlee Sheets, PHS senior, were both named 3rd Team Sunshine Athletic Conference for Cross Country. This is Carlee's 3rd year in a row being awarded 3rd Team SAC for Cross Country.

PHS Students Take On The Pasco County Science Fair
For the first time in a few years PHS sent 3 students, Hritik Dhruve, Deborah Urban, Paula-Ann Williams, to the science showcase. These students conducted their own research experiment, participated in the scientific method, and communicated their findings to various levels of experts from around the county. These students have worked extremely hard to get to this point and are helping lay the groundwork for future projects. Kritik won the "Scientist Mindset and Passion Award" from the Air Force at the County awards.

Hagan Scholarship Winner!
Congratulations to Paityn-Ann Wright who is the first PHS recipient to win the Hagan Scholarship. This scholarship is worth $7,500 each semester for 8 consecutive semesters, along with many other awards.

Positive Notes
Kirk's P5 and P6 Earth Space Groups were working on a Severe Weather PPT Presentation, and most of them worked with no arguments. They got into the project, and it kept them engaged the entire class. Many were excited to show me "how it was going" so far. I can't wait to see the finished project.
