Weekly Family Communication
The mission of Holy Rosary School is to help each child discover and fully develop their God-given talents. As a Catholic School community, we strive for excellence in our students’ spiritual, academic, physical, mental, aesthetic, and social-emotional growth. It is our intention that those who attend this institution mature into active citizens leading a committed faith life and reaching out to help others locally, nationally, and internationally with their wisdom, time, talent, and financial resources.
Principal's Message
Dear Holy Rosary Families,
This weekend we will honor our 8th grade graduates with a special Baccalaureate Mass and dinner to follow. The Mass will be at 3:00 on Sunday. All are welcome to join us for the celebration of the Mass in honor of our special graduates. Next week these 8th graders will graduate, some of them after an 11 year journey in our school. Please hold them and their families in your prayers during this important transition time!
Friday afternoon our school will hold a special prayer service in honor of Father Oakland as we near our final days with him as our Pastor. There will be a parish celebration later this month on June 23rd, all are welcome to attend as well.
In Christ,
Anna
Faith At Home
Feast of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary – May 31, 2024
Today we celebrate Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth. When Mary arrived, the unborn John the Baptist recognized the unborn Jesus as God and jumped for joy in Elizabeth’s womb. Elizabeth’s greeting to Mary makes up part of the Hail Mary: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Luke 1:42). Mary’s reply is known as the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55)
Ways to celebrate:
· Recite the Magnificat.
· Say a Hail Mary as a family.
· Know anyone pregnant or that has a new baby? Prepare a meal for them!

Soup Kitchen Need Donations
As many of you know, Holy Rosary operates a Soup Kitchen that provides soup to a local Catholic men's shelter, St.Martin DePores. Currently our first graders bring in items that are used to make up a large part of our soups. The Soup KItchen's budget is very small, therefore the first graders' contributions play a HUGE part. As the Soup Kitchen is a year round endeavor and as the school year comes to an end so does our assistance from those first graders. To help us in getting through the summer months we are reaching out and asking families to bring in canned goods to school next Thursday.
Thank you all for your support, what a blessing these contributions have made!
Things we would appreciate:
Any kind of canned tomatoes: paste, stewed, whole, etc
Canned vegetables
Canned or dried beans
Any kind of broth or bouillon
Fresh onions
Fresh carrots
Fresh celery
Herbs
Donations Needed!
If you have old Halloween costumes that are in good condition, please consider donating to the Parent's Club. We are planning a silent auction at the back-to-school coffee next year to help raise some money for the Room Parent's class party fund. Please drop off donations at the main office. We will collect them until the end of the year. Thanks in advance!
