SASD e-Newsletter: June 2024
✨ From Retiring Superintendent Seth Harvatine
Dear Families,
As we wind down the 2023-24 school year, and as my journey in the Sheboygan Area School District comes to an end, I wanted to share how much of an honor it has been to serve you and your children.
For more than 26 years, I have had the pleasure of serving in the Sheboygan Area School District in a variety of roles, including the last six years as the Superintendent of Schools. Throughout this time, I have been consistently amazed by the tremendous work, passion, and dedication displayed by our district staff every day. They are committed to providing your students with high-quality learning opportunities, offering support and services to families, and working tirelessly to achieve the district’s goals.
The many wonderful achievements, outcomes, and learning celebrations would not be possible without your involvement and commitment to working in partnership with the school district. I am grateful for the active role parents take in the learning process and hope that you will continue to work collaboratively with the district staff.
While I am set to begin a new journey RVing across this great country with my wife, please know that the Sheboygan Area School District will always be close to my heart. I look forward to keeping close tabs on the numerous ways this district will continue to provide outstanding learning opportunities and serve the students and families of the Sheboygan area.
I have the utmost respect for our incoming Superintendent, Dr. Jacob Konrath. Jake is a strong advocate for public education. With his education and leadership knowledgebase, strong work ethic, commitment to working collaboratively with staff, families, and community members, and his compassion for students, I firmly believe he will be a great leader to take this district to the next level.
In closing, I hope that each of you enjoys the summer and your time with family and friends.
Yours in Education,
Seth Harvatine
