Hoag ASPIRE Parent Webinar- Sept 15th from 6-7:30pm join to learn how COVID-19 has impacted and changed our world in many ways. Our youth have encountered a difficult time related to the transition and managing the stress associated with the current times. In this webinar, parents will be educated on what they can do to provide support, encouragement and navigate today's new reality for their teen. Click HERE for the flyer and to register.
Irvine Parent Education Programs (IPEP) are FREE seminars and educational workshops offered to Irvine parents/guardians throughout the school year. Our goal is to empower parents/guardians with the skills and strategies necessary to become active participants in their student’s education. IPEP offers a variety of workshops focused on topics important to parents/guardians of IUSD students. Experienced instructors and district-level representatives facilitate the interactive workshops, engaging participants in conversations and hands-on activities. Tilly Teen Empowerment Program- This program was created to introduce young adults to life tools that build confidence, inspire compassion, and encourage dreams with a caring, interactive and creative environment. Click IFRC- Tilly's Teen Empowerment Program for additional information. Scholarships are available! Topics covered in this 8 week series include: Positive Mindset, Finding Good in Everyone, Creating Healthy Options for Challenging Emotions, Learning to Ask for Support, Creating Inner Strength and Problem Solving Strategies. The Irvine Family Resource Center is available to IUSD Families and typically serves students/parents who are having difficulty accessing their mental health support through their insurance provider due to lapse of coverage, a limited amount of sessions, not having mental health coverage within their insurance provider or is having difficulty getting linked to an appropriate provider. Operation School Bell- Applications open through Nov. 10th, 2021- School supplies and Clothing for IUSD students in need. Click HERE
Zoom links will be available through Canvas. Before signing in, students must make sure they are logged into Zoom correctly using their IUSD account. If they do not log in correctly, they will not be able to enter the Zoom links for their classes. Please reference these directions for signing into Zoom.
Irvine Public Schools Foundation- The mission of the Irvine Public Schools Foundation is to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school. To kick off the evening, please begin with our Back to School Night Introduction
video. It will provide you with important information about IVA Middle School and demonstrate how to access teachers’ Back to School Night presentations.
If you have not done so already, please follow these instructions on setting up a Parent Observer Canvas account with your child(ren). Canvas will be the primary point of contact for your child to access information about each of their classes. By setting up a Parent Observer account, you will be able to see what teachers post if you want to stay informed about their classes.
