Wilbanks Middle School Newsletter
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Wilbanks Middle School Families,
As we approach the final week before our winter break, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and holiday cheer to each and every one of you. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with our incredible students and staff, and I am so proud of the hard work and achievements we've seen so far this year.
As we wrap up the first semester, I want to remind you that our students will be taking their semester 1 benchmarks in math and ELA on Monday and Tuesday. This is an important step in measuring their progress and setting goals for the second semester.
In addition, our students are still earning LiveSchool Points through Tuesday for the Semester 1 Holiday Incentive. If your child earns at least 2300 points, they will be eligible to participate in a fun-filled day of holiday activities on Friday, including games, a holiday social, house battles, crafts, hot cocoa, a candy shoppe, pictures, and more! Students with bonus points can also use them to redeem a customized VIP Holiday Experience, complete with activities like roasting marshmallows by the fire, making memories in the snow, decorating cookies, and holiday karaoke.
At Wilbanks Middle School, we strive to Be Uncommon and provide our students with exceptional experiences that challenge them to grow and thrive. I am thrilled to offer these special incentives as a way to celebrate our students' hard work and dedication.
A reminder that Friday, December 20th is a 2-hour early release day. Car riders will be dismissed at 1pm, and bus riders should arrive home 2 hours earlier than normal. We will return to school on January 7th to start the second semester.
Once again, I would like to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve your family and look forward to seeing your child return refreshed and ready to learn in the new year.
Sincerely,
Chris Chitwood
Principal
