Happy New Year!
Thank you for continuing to use the Alberta Health Daily Checklist. We encourage you to let the office know if your child will be absent for the day.
We want to the take opportunity to thank our students, parents, guardians, and our staff for their continued flexibility as we navigate this school year. Collectively, we are all part of the Ecole Charlie Killam School community, one we are very proud to be a part of.
Please continue to reach out to our staff should you have any questions. You can find the staff directory here.

School Council
School Council Meeting
On January 18, 2022, at @ 7:00 pm, we will host a virtual school council meeting through Zoom. Parents and guardians play an important role in student success. School councils allow parents to participate in decisions that impact student learning. By contributing knowledge, perspective, and ideas at school council meetings, parents actively contribute to the success of the school community.
If you are interested in joining, please email Pam Boyson, the Chair of our School Council at ecksparentcouncil@gmail.com to request the Zoom link.

"In Our House, we respect ourselves by being prepared to learn"
This can mean many different things for many different students. One part of this is being physically prepared for learning by having all the materials a student will need for that class ready when the teacher starts the lesson (textbook, binder, notes, pencil, etc.). This also means that students should enter the classroom being prepared mentally to learn. Students should be ready to listen to instruction and directions from teachers for that day's activities. Most importantly, students should enter with an open attitude, knowing that if they do their best every day, they will continue to grow.
