Outdoor Track & Field: Spain Park Classic Recap
The Hewitt-Trussville Outdoor Track & Field teams traveled to the Spain Park Classic on Saturday. The HT Girls finished 2nd out of 12 teams and the HT Boys finished 3rd out of 11 teams.

Softball Set to Host Area Game
Hewitt-Trussville Softball will host Oak Mountain in a 7A Area 6 game on Tuesday night. The Huskies are 20-4 overall on the year and 3-0 in 7A Area 6. Last week, the Huskies defeated Springville 10-0. Sara Phillips threw a complete game. Corey Goguts was 4-4 at the plate and hit two home runs.

Baseball to Host Area Game Tuesday Night
Hewitt-Trussville Baseball will host Spain Park in a 7A Area game on Tuesday night. First pitch is set for 6pm. The Huskies are 23-6 overall on the season and 1-1 in Area play.

The 9th Grade Baseball team defeated Homewood 15-2 and Mountain Brook 10-0 last week in the Metro Tournament. In the win over Homewood, Wes Hardy was the winning pitcher. Harrison Malone had two hits and a RBI. Andrew Walker had a triple and two RBI's. In the win over the Spartans, Tripp Austin picked up the win. Andrew Walker had two hits and two RBI's. Harrison Malone drove in two runs.
Tennis Enters Final Week of Regular Season
The HT Tennis regular season is scheduled to conclude this week with a pair of matches. The Huskies will travel to Hoover on Monday for the final Section match of the season. HT will then travel to Altamont on Tuesday.
The HT Boys are currently 17-2 overall on the season and 5-1 in Section play. The HT Girls are 12-7 overall and 3-3 in Section play.

Girls Golf Wins Tournament Title
The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Golf team trailed by eight shots entering the final round of the Hike the Hills event on Tuesday. The Huskies rallied on day two to win the tournament by five shots. HT finished 1st out of 14 teams.
Emma Bark led the Huskies on Tuesday with a round of 69. Merritt Daniel and Aubrey Payne shot rounds of 75 and Morgan Hopper shot 77. In the opening round, Aubrey Payne shot 75 and Merritt Daniel shot 79. The Huskies improved by 15 shots from round one to round two. The second-day total of 219 was the lowest team round in the tournament.
The Huskies will travel to the Arab Invitational on April 8.

Boys Golf Finishes 2nd at Husky Invitational
The HT Boys Golf team finished 2nd out of 8 teams at the Husky Invitational Match Play event last week. The tournament was held at Grayson Valley CC. The Huskies won in the quarterfinals and semifinals before falling in the championship match.
The Huskies will travel to Timberline on April 8 for the Warrior Invitational.

2024 Swim Team Information
The 2024 HT Swimming team is open to 7th Grade-12th Grade TCS students. The team will begin competition this Fall. Interested students are encouraged to complete the form below.
Athletic Physicals Set for May 10
School athletic physicals will take place on May 10, 2024 at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. Students wishing to participate in athletics that will be in grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 school year should attend.

Q. What are school physicals?
A. All students grades 7-12 that participate in Athletics must have a current physical. School physical day is set to help all students get an updated physical
Q. Who needs to attend?
A. All students that will be in grades 7-12 during the 2024-2025 school year that wish to participate in Athletics should attend. This includes current 6th graders that wish to participate in Athletics during 2024-2025 as 7th graders.
Q. Where will school physicals take place?
A. Hewitt-Trussville Stadium (Enter at Main Gate)
Q. What time does the event begin?
A. Students at HTHS can start during their athletic period. Students at HTMS should come after school ends for the day.
Q. How much does it cost?

Q. My child just got a physical. Do they need to come?
A. Yes. Physicals are good for one year. Students who get a physical in May will be covered for the entire 2024-2025 school year.
MS Baseball Wins Final Regular Season Game
HTMS Baseball defeated Chelsea 3-1 on Saturday in the final regular season game. The Huskies finished the regular season 24-1-2. Micah Bromley threw a complete game on Saturday and allowed just three hits. Hudson Mitchell, Hunter Futrell. and Sawyer Jackson had hits for the Huskies.
HT will open the Metro Tournament on Friday.
