Warm Mid-Winter Greetings From TC School District,
Updated Strategic Plan
The Tri-County School District continues toward its vision and mission, which is something the entire community recently worked on reviewing and improving. A special thank you to all the community members who showed up for one or both of the community work sessions which were the real ground work of our new strategic plan. The curriculum and improvement funds through CESA5 were utilized to cover the cost of Jake Boll, strategic planning facilitator. He worked with community members, and garnered feedback from staff, students, administrators and the Board before finalizing our shared vision and mission statements, which you can see here and on the website. We will use these values and our developed goals based on these statements and beliefs, to continue to drive our district forward into the future.
Board Election on February 18, Please Vote!
Mr. Jim Miller, long time board member and former Tri-County principal is retiring from the school board. There are three candidates who have filed paperwork to fill this open position from area 3. Because there can only be two candidates on the April 1 ballot the district needs to hold a primary election on February 18. The entire community will vote their top two choices from the three candidates; Mr. Wayne Hutchinson, Ms. Dakotah Smiley,
and Ms. Lisa LaRoque Williams. The two candidates with the most votes will appear on the April 1 ballot, at which time the community will choose the top candidate to serve on the board for a three year term. The Argus will be running a brief article in which the candidates answer a few questions.
I hope we all have an excellent second semester and a warm ride in Spring. Looks like Winter is not quite done with us yet!
Yours- Mr. Delikowski
