Dear Steck Families,

Thank you to the Steck PTA for a wonderful fall party. The students enjoyed a fun day!

It's hard to believe the end of first quarter is here and it's report card time. This is a great time to review your child's progress, celebrate successes, and talk about areas of growth.

I encourage you to review your child's attendance record for this first quarter. Positive school and work habits, including attendance, are established in elementary school. You can read more about school attendance here. We need your child in school to help them grow in all areas.

District 204 provides elementary report cards through ParentVUE. Beginning November 1 at 4:00 p.m., you can view your child's elementary school report card through ParentVUE. After you log into your ParentVUE account, you will find the Report Card tab on the left. If you need assistance, please call the Steck office (630.375.3500). You can view the report card grading information here. This is also available through ParentVUE.

Kindergarten report cards for the first quarter include marks for the Math Profile of Progress only. Quarters 2, 3, and 4 will include marks for all areas.

As always, our doors are open to you. Please contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns at report card time and throughout the school year.

SCHOOL NEWS

No School - 11/4 and 11/5

We have no school on Monday, November 4 due to Teacher Institute Day. This is a day when teachers participate in professional learning to support our School Improvement Plan. We have no school on Tuesday, November 5 due to election day.

Pumpkin Contest

Thank you to everyone who participated in the pumpkin decorating contest. We had some of the best looking pumpkins I have ever seen. Every pumpkin received votes so it was a close competition.

Cocoa and Crafts

Steck PTA is excited to sponsor the first Cocoa and Crafts event on November 15 from 7:30-8:50am. All Steck students are invited to bring a special grownup for a fun morning before school at this drop-in open house event. Enjoy warm cocoa, crafting and an appearance from a special visitor! PTA Directory - Last Call

Are you looking for a way to connect with another family? If so, please complete this optional PTA survey. One survey per child, please. The purpose may be to arrange a play date, invite to a party, or some other reason outside of school. (The school does not arrange play dates or allow for party invitation distribution.) Anyone is welcome to complete the survey but directory access will be limited to PTA members or donors. Please note this is optional and families cannot be required to share their personal information. Thank you for supporting the Steck PTA.

Not a PTA member but want access to the directory? You can join PTA or make a $15 donation to the PTA (membership and donation information here) .
