Wilson Middle School PTA Update

Dear Wilson Family! It's hard to believe this is the final newsletter of the 2024-2025 school year! These last few weeks of school are guaranteed to go at warp speed (they do not call it Maycember for nothing)! Please take a moment to catch up on the last events and updates for the year below! Hello Wilson Community!

Our Color Run Fundraiser has begun! Let's end this year strong. RamFest/Color Run/Cane's lunch is one of our favorite days of the year! One might even refer to it as our Super Bowl. We have an entire day of fun planned for the kids but we need your help.

Then we will pre-sell Cane's lunch on 4/30-5/2. Purchase a Cane's lunch at the school store for $10 on those days and it will be delivered to your student during their lunch period on the day of Color Run (5/9)! Last step is to sign up to Volunteer! This is a fun filled day and we need lots of people to make everything run smoothly! Please watch for the signup and join us for the fun!

We cannot wait for your student to enjoy this day full of fun, activities, entertainment, snacks, gifts, and more on 5/9!!! Also this will be the day that your student will have the prepaid Canes lunch delivered if purchased! We will have a high energy DJ, Colorful chalk run and SO much fun! The Wilson 2025 RamFest & Color Run is May 9th ALLLL DAAAAY!

We will be pre-selling Cane's 3 finger Combos for $10 (cash only) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (4/30-5/2). Pre-Purchase the Cane's Combo at the school store during lunch and your student will receive their Cane’s Combo during their lunch period on the day of Color Run (5/9)!

Here at Wilson we have the amazing privilege of selling spirit wear, and fun items for your students to purchase at our school store during their lunch period. We will be opening the school store every week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will need your help as volunteers, to keep the store open throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering throughout the year, please click on the volunteer form sign up link below. Once you have signed up to volunteer, you will receive an additional email with all the information you will need to run the school store. We hope to see you up there!

The School Store continues to be a fun little shopping treat for the students during their lunch time! The money that is made at the school store is put to good use. It goes directly to Wilson for socials, guest speakers, school improvements, etc. if you would like to volunteer and join the fun we would love to have you!

The PTA works behind the scenes to make so many special things happen for our Rams. And we can't do it without you! Your PTA dues help to sponsor socials, the school store, speakers and more. We also use the dues to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them. We hope you join us in reaching 300 and building up our Ram community even more to support our teachers and students.

The Plano Public Library is here to support learners! We have five locations throughout the city and many resources that can be accessed from home including:

- Libby: downloadable e-books, audiobooks, and magazines

- Kanopy: streaming movies and shows for all ages

- GALE Databases including Nat Geo Kids for research and photos for projects

All of these services are completely free, visit planolibrary.org to register for a card.
