November 2024
The first quarter has quickly come to an end and we are looking forward to a fantastic second quarter! We are so excited to see all the learning that is happening everyday with each scholar! Thank you for your continued support at home to help us have such a successful start to our year!

Parent Teacher Conferences
-Please sign-up for a Parent Teacher Conference meeting with your scholar's teacher. If you are unsure how to sign-up for a conference, please reach out to your scholar's teacher.
Assignments
-Please make sure to check in with your scholar on their assignments and to check that they are being completed.
Snacks
-You may send a snack with your scholar each day. Please make sure there are no messy foods as we may have the Chromebooks out during the day.
Sweaters
-Temperatures in the classroom often fluctuate between warm and chilly. It is a good idea to send your scholar in with a jacket or layers so that they are comfortable throughout the day.
📓 Curriculum Corner
Math ❌➗
Students will begin the month by continuing to round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. Rounding will lead into the students solving addition and subtraction problems with two- and three-digit numbers as well as subtracting across zeros. Students will learn multiple strategies to solve these problems as well as solve word problems.
Reading 📗
As the new quarter begins, students are going to continue their learning about the human body. Students will explore the essential question: How do parts of the body work together to keep you alive?The unit focuses on comparing and contrasting systems of the body (nervous system, muscular system, and skeletal system).
Writing 📝
This unit focuses on informational writing. Students will practice writing topic and concluding sentences for paragraphs. Students will write about one of the systems learned throughout the unit.
Social Studies 🌎
Students will be focusing on geography for the second quarter. The month of November will focus on learning about different natural and physical features.
