April Parent Newsletter

We are in the last quarter of the school year. We want to make sure all students finish strong. Please make sure students are reporting to school on time each day. We are also continuing with ACAP testing. Fifth grade will begin testing this week. Testing starts each morning at 9:00 a.m.

All 2nd-5th grade students who are present March 18th- April 9th, have no tardies, have no early dismissals, well-behaved, and are actively working during testing will earn the opportunity to attend the Sneaker Ball on April 11th. Tickets will be sent home with students who earn the opportunity to attend this fun event.

Please help us encourage your child to do his/her very best each day.

The tardy bell rings at 8:05 a.m. and no early dismissals are given after 2:00 p.m.

We will host a parade to recognize all third quarter honor roll students on Friday, April 4th at 1:45 p.m. Invitations were sent home with students last week. Parents are invited to join and may stand and watch their children on the front carpool area. Please do not pull children out of the procession.

Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2025! We can't wait to celebrate our former Holloway Eagles at our Senior Walk on Thursday, May 1st at 1pm! The Literacy and Numeracy camp will be held June 2nd-26th. Students who meet the qualifications are invited to attend. Please send the intent to attend by Friday, April 4th.

School will be closed April 21st-25th for Spring Break. Students will return on Monday, April 28th. I hope that everyone has a restful and safe Spring Break. We will continue with testing after Spring Break.

Online registration is now open for the 2025-2026 school year. All students must be registered online. Beat the crowd and long lines and go ahead and complete online registration. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

Your username is your email and the password is the oldest child in MCPSS date of birth.

ACAP Incentive-Tickets will be sent home with students who will participate on Wednesday, April 9th.

Reminders:

ACAP testing will started on Tuesday, March 18th. Students must be present all day and on time each day of testing to earn a ticket to attend the Sneaker Ball. They must be present March 18th-April 9th. Students who have perfect attendance and do his/her very best each day will be recognized by earning a ticket to the B.O.O.T.S. on the Ground Sneaker Ball! Please encourage your child to do his/her very best at school each day.
