Principal's Message - March 1, 2025
Dear Keller Families,
February has been an exciting and eventful month at Keller! We celebrated our 100th day of school, enjoyed a school spirit assembly, and recognized our students’ growth in MAP scores. Our Wonder Writing Program continues to inspire creativity, and we had a fantastic turnout for the Daddy/Daughter Dance—thank you to all who attended and made it such a special evening! Seeing our students arrive each day with big smiles and enthusiasm for learning is truly the highlight of our days.
As we move into March, we look forward to another great month, though it will be a shorter one with spring break at the end of the month. With the weather starting to warm up, students will be enjoying outdoor recess again. Please make sure they are dressed appropriately for the changing temperatures by sending them with a coat and proper attire for the day.
Additionally, we appreciate your participation in the 5 Essentials Survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable as we reflect on what we’re doing well and identify areas for improvement. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and for your continued support of our school community.
Wishing you all a wonderful March!
Warm regards,
Principal Julie M. Simpson

5 Essentials Survey
If you have not done so already, please be sure to take the Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey by March 28. We must get a 20% parent response rate for our results to be reported.
This survey assesses a school’s culture and climate and provides insight into strengths and weaknesses on the five key factors that research shows are predictive of school success - effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction.
Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
Thanks for your support!
