Students are allowed to wear Halloween Costumes to school on Thursday, October 31st with the following expectations to help us maintain a safe learning environment:
Costumes are worn to school and students are able to navigate personal needs without assistance.
Staff must be able to recognize students; therefore, students may not wear costume masks, sunglasses, excessive face paint, or anything that covers the entire face.
Full body inflatables are not allowed at school or at the parade–they prevent staff from being able to recognize the student.
No blood or gore.
No weapons or simulated weapons.
Attire should not be disruptive to the learning environment.
Avoid pieces of costume that are not attached so they are not lost. School is not responsible for lost items.
If a child comes to school with any of the above items/attire, we will ask them to remove them. Thank you for your attention to safety and a quality learning environment.
Families are invited to come watch our costume parade from 2:50-3:30! {Weather permitting}
Students will form two lines behind cones which will lead up to the hill behind the building.
Families may stand on the hill behind the building at the end of the cones.
Students will begin lining up at 2:50pm and the parade will start after they are in place.
Students will return to their classrooms at the end of the parade to gather their belongings.
Innovation Center Drone Performance Team

project team responsible for the creation, animation, managing, and execution of drone shows.

Volunteers are frequently seen throughout our school and in classrooms supporting students and helping to create a safe, welcoming environment. We are grateful for each and every one of them!
Remember to set your clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 3.
Our 4th grade Eagles had a great time on their field trip this week. Here is what some students said about it:
“For our field trip we went to Growing Gardens. The first center we did was learning what color fruits and vegetables do for our body; red fruits and vegetables are for the heart, orange for the eyes, yellow for the skin, green for teeth and bones, blue and purple for the brain, and white is for your immune system. The next center we learned about soil and the 4 different kinds of soil; loam, compost, sand, and just plain old soil. At the last center we learned how you can make nature into art. They taught us when you make art out of nature it will always be destroyed and that you should always use stuff that is dead or on the ground.”
“The field trip was an exciting new way to learn about farming and nature than I’ve ever done before. We experienced creating art from nature like a famous artist. I really enjoyed learning about the specific importance of each color of fruit and veggies. I now know why it matters to eat a rainbow!”
