Something to Yelle About
The Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
A GREAT WEEK OF LEARNING
IN #HAYNation!
Yelle Newsletter for January 17th!
Hello from the Yelle.
Another super cold week. Only one day outside again. And next week is looking pretty similar. But next week starts Boosterthon and we are excited. Not only are we getting pumped for the Glow Run but this year's theme is Castle Quest, which we as Yellians is right in our wheelhouse.
In the big picture above, each week, I use it as a way to highlight and show what we were able to accomplish during the week.
This week's Big Picture has students working together, supporting each other, smiling and looking very studious. I love catching our students with their book open, Chomebook engaged, and their looking for textual evidence; they look like older students in either high school or beyond. It is so impressive!
These and the other pictures below in and around the classrooms really do relay a story of the incredible accomplishments our students and teachers achieved this week. Please check them out below and all over our Instagram feed to help to tell the tremendous story we are writing this year.

Dress For The Weather
Hello Yelle Families.
This is just a friendly reminder that as the weather turns from to real Winter, we do love getting the students outside for PE/Wellness and Recess.
The students might think the classrooms can be warm, but we love to get the students outside for recess and Wellness, so they should at least know that they should dress appropriately for those times; at least packing sweatshirts, hats/gloves, jackets, and the like.
We will go outside for recess when the "real feel" is 25 degrees or above outside, and you can see me bundled in my hat, coat, and gloves, for to me, I need them. The students may not feel like they need it for the school day, but for recess if the real feel is at least 25, we have recess outdoors.
It is always nice to get that fresh air, and as I said, we love getting them outside whenever we can.
Any questions, please let us know.
Thanks!
News from the HAY PTO in Multiple Parts ...
2025 Boosterthon Registration Is Now Open!
Henri A. Yelle Families!
We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the HAY Glow Run. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 for enrichment and assemblies to benefit ALL students at Henri A. Yelle.
We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:
#1 -- A user-friendly fundraising platform,
#2 -- A character enrichment program and
#3 -- A fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students.
As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest” teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.
