February is National Random Acts of Kindness month, and National Random Acts of Kindness Week is 2/17 - 2/23. Kindness spreads, no matter the size of the deed. Our kind acts build, encourage others to spread kindness, and not only make the other person feel good but ourselves as well. In what ways do you spread random acts of kindness?
Here's a resource to help spread random acts of kindness!

As we continue with our Second Step Units, Kindergarten - 3rd grade are learning about kindness and empathy and how they help us be a good friend. 4th and 5th grade are learning about emotions. 4th grade focusing on what our brain is doing and how emotions help us while 5th grade reflects on strong emotions they experience, like stress, and what ways they can help themselves or change what is causing them to experience said emotion. 6th grade is learning about guiding principles, which are things that are important to us and help us make decisions. 7th grade is exploring their self-concept, how they think about themselves, and the four areas (emotional, physical, social, and academic) it is composed of. 8th grade is learning more about self-confidence and how encouragement and past experiences influence it. 6th graders have dived deep into guiding principles and reflected on their own. What are your guiding principles?
