This Week's Happenings
This week, Mahwah High School students Parnal and Dia joined our morning meeting to present their Girl Scouts Silver Award Project. They refurbished two picnic benches into a "Buddy Bench" and "Negotiation Station," located near our playground. Through skits, they taught our students how to use these benches to find friends at recess and resolve conflicts using "I feel" statements. Their project provides our students with tools to foster strong peer relationships and reduce disputes. We are so proud of Parnal and Dia for their hard work, and our GW students are lucky to have such inspiring role models!
Congratulations to Chloe from Mrs. Duffy's classroom whose design was selected for this year's spirit wear! We're also incredibly proud of all the students who participated; their amazing drawings are now displayed in our halls for everyone to see. Thank you to the HSO for purchasing a t-shirt for every student and staff member. We can't wait to wear our new shirts on the first Spirit Day and show off our GW pride!
